Singles often seen from 31/01/60

1965 - Probably bred around the reservoir area

26/07/66 - 2 birds whilst breeding

06/04/67 - Young birds heard to indicate that breeding took place this year. Young heard again on 27/04

1970 - Single bird

24/10/77 - Single bird

1999 - Single bird seen on several dates in January, hunting over rough fields near the reservoir car park. (DWH)

06/02/99 - Single bird seen hunting over rough ground behind nearby cottages

04/10/02 - Single pale looking owl seen briefly after sunset over the reservoir meadows (KGH)
