Black Tern
A once regular passage migrant visitor to the reservoir, particularly during the 60's, 70's & 80's. These birds, like all visiting Tern species will not stay long, often preferring to use the reserve as a temporary 'stop gap' during their migrational travels. They often seem to appear on dark and rainy afternoons.
