31/12/06 - 2 males in song (1 or 2 birds regularly seen over the last 10 years)

28/01/09 - 4 birds
19/01/10 - 8 birds
05/11/11 - 6 birds. A few seen daily throughout the year at feeders
2012 - 2 or more through the year, often heard, but not seen.
2013 - 1 recorded in March, probably under recorded, though fewer than previous years
2014 - Only 1 record on 08/09 on edge of reserve. Lack of feeders last year and this is probably the reason for the drop in numbers
2015 - Only winter records with 1 on 04/02, 1 on 12/11, 2 on 13/11, 1 on 25/11 and 1 on 02/12
2016 - Only records were 2 on 02/01 and call heard on 22/02, but probably overlooked
2017 - No summer records, but increased visibility in October when the peanut feeder was cleaned and filled. 1 or 2 reported on 5 dates in October
2018 - Up to 3 noted at the feeders throughout the year at the south end
2019 - 1 or 2 through January and February with 3+ on 06/02. A nest with young was found on 08/05 and 1 or 2 seen through November and December. The feeders have been well stocked this year.
2020 - 1 to 3 adults recorded on 17 occasions and nested in April with young being fed in May.
2021 - Only recorded on 4 dates, probably under recorded. 2 seen on 27/05 and 2 on 04/11
2022 - Recorded on 7 dates mostly near feeders. 3 records of up to 2 in January, but also seen in February, March, September and August
2023 - Only recorded on 3 dates in 3 different months near feeders, presumably under recorded.
