A regular passage visitor to the reservoir. The most common wader seen.

1939 - No recent records but doubtless occurs on passage.

29/04/65 - 10 birds.

27/04/67 - 24 birds.

23/04/73 - 24 birds.

28/04/80 - 16+ birds.

04/07/81 - 6 birds.

22/04/82 - 7 birds.

28/04/84 - 9 birds.

30/04/86 - Single bird.

17/08/86 - Single bird.

21/04/88 - 3 birds.

23/04/89 - 2 birds.

14/04/90 - Single bird.

18/07/90 - 2 birds.

23/04/91 - 50 birds. By far the highest count to date. Wind had recently veered to 'south-west.' (BS).

09/05/91 - 36 birds, including one individual showing 'melanism.' (DWH) & (BS).

26/07/91 - 2 birds.

02/09/91 - 2 birds.

03/05/92 - 9 birds. Single bird being present between July & September.

19/04/93 - 3 birds.

12/08/93 - 4 birds.

12/04/94 - 5 birds.

03/09/94 - 2 birds.

28/04/95 - 5+ birds.

26/07/95 - Single bird.

25/04/96 - 4 birds. 1 or 2 birds recorded in July & August.

17/10/96 - 2 birds.

10/07/97 - 9 birds. 7 birds seen on other visits during this month. No records during the Spring of this year.

20/04/98 - Single bird. Approx. 30 birds seen on 21/04; during wet & windy conditions.

08/09/98 - 2 birds, rising to 4 birds on 11/09.

01/10/98 - 2 birds. Single bird still present until 06/11.

22/04/99 - Single bird.

26/04/99 - 14 birds & 9 reported on 30/04.

13/05/99 - Single bird. Single birds seen also on 22/07 & 28/07.

05/08/99 - 6 birds.

23/09/99 - 2 birds.

08/04/00 - Single bird, also on 20/05/00 and 30/06/00

22/08/00 - 2 birds rising to 4 the next day

01/09/00 - Single bird rising to 6 on 5/09 with 3 or 4 present until 09/09

11/09/00 - Single bird.

04/10/00 - Single bird stayed 5 days

13/04/01 - Single bird.

16/04/01 - 5 birds.

02/05/01 - Single bird.

08/07/01 - Single bird, then seen all month with peak of 8 on 10/07

21/08/01 - Single bird risng to peak of 8 on 26/08, 4 on 30/08.

01/09/01 - Single bird for 5 days then 2 until 29/09 and 4 on 30/09.

01/10/01 - 3 birds, then single bird until 09/10.

03/12/01 - Single bird and another on 17/12

17/04/02 - 8 birds with 2 on 18/04 and 1 from 25/04 to end of month.

02/05/02 - Single bird.

13/07/02 - 2 birds until the end of month with 3 on 27/07.

01/08/02 - Single bird risng to peak of 11 on 26/08

01/09/02 - 1 or 2 birds all month with peak of 4 on 11/09.

01/10/02 - Single bird until 11/10 with 2 on 02/10 and 10/10.

23/04/03 - Single bird.

24/05/03 - Single bird.

13/07/03 - Single bird also on 15/07

01/08/03 - Single bird rising to peaks of 7 on 10/08, 18/08 and 20/08

11/09/03 - Single bird until 17th with 2 on 22/09

16/04/04 - 5 birds, with up to 4 to the end of the month.

02/05/04 - 2 birds with single the next day

04/07/04 - 6 birds. Some all month with peaks of 7 on 22/07 and 31/07.

01/08/04 - 3 birds rising to peak of 9 on 15/07

01/09/04 - 2 birds rising to peak of 4 from 17/09 to 19/09

03/10/04 - Single bird. Also from 15/10 to 18/10.

05/04/05 - Single bird.

25/04/05 - Single bird.

08/05/05 - Single bird. Also one on 12/05

07/07/05 - 6 birds and 3 on 29/07

01/08/05 - Single bird, with other single bird only sightings this month.

05/09/05 - 2 birds with 1 or 2 birds to end of month

18/04/06 - Single bird. Also on 23/04

01/05/06 - 3 birds

08/07/06 - 3 birds and up to 3 during the rest of the month

03/08/06 - 2 birds to end of month with peaks of 4 on 22/08 and 24/08

01/09/06 - 2 birds also on 02/09 and singles until end of month.

09/04/07 - Single bird.

11/05/07 - Single bird.

03/07/07 - Single bird with 1 or 2 birds all month and peaks of 4 on 12/07 and 26/07

02/08/07 - 4 birds with birds all month peaking at 5 on 29/08

02/09/07 - Single bird with 1 or 2 all month and peak of 4 on 03/09.
