Kestrel

A resident bird of prey which breeds nearby. Usually seen over the meadows. Less common than Sparrowhawk.

1999 - Pair bred in Pine trees at north end of reservoir, by dam.

16/04/2000 - A pale female noted

20/05/03 - One male flying over the reservoir itself.

11/11/08 - One bird recorded

29/11/09 - One male
