Kestrel

Previously a resident bird of prey which bred nearby. Usually seen over the meadows. Less common now than Sparrowhawk or Buzzard or even Peregrine.

1999 - Pair bred in Pine trees at north end of reservoir, by dam.

16/04/2000 - A pale female noted

20/05/2003 - One male flying over the reservoir itself.

11/11/2008 - One bird recorded

29/11/2009 - One male

14/04/2011 - One bird

24/04/2018 - One female

20/11/2018 - One flew over the woods at the south end

03/04/2024 - One record at the north end
