Treecreeper

A resident breeding bird to the woodland fringes of the reserve. One or two birds can often be seen per visit, especially in the trees to the east of the reservoir.

14/04/95 - 2 Birds

1996 - 2 pairs present during the breeding season

17/05/97 - 2 pairs with 2 fledged young

05/06/98 - 4 birds

??/03/99 - 4 singing males

2008 - 2 or more singing in April

2009 - singles recorded on a few dates

2010 - up to 4 mainly in the winter months

2011 - 18 records of 1-3 birds, singing heard in August.

2012 - 12 records, all singles apart from 4 on 04/02

2013 - 12 records of 1 or 2 birds

2014 - 9 records of 1 or 2 birds

2015 - 8 records of 1 or 2 birds. Despite the low number of sightings a nest was found near the hide in June with parents bringing food.

2016 - 13 records. Maximum 4+ birds. Adult bird seen carrying food on 02/05.

2017 - Only 6 records yet nesting evidence found at both north and south ends of the reservoir.

2018 - 10 records through the year with max 4 on 30/07

2019 - 10 records of 1 or 2 with a nest located on 20/05 at the south end.

2020 - 10 records of 1-3 with adult and 2 young seen on 19/06

2021 - Only 2 records of 1 on 07/01 and 1 on 22/02

2022 - One probable nest spotted on 24/04

2023 - Singles seen or heard on 11 dates. Song heard as well as calls
