Willow Tit

A once resident & breeding bird to the damp woodlands around the reservoir - this bird is now fast disappearing from the UK & no birds have been recorded on the reserve since 1994.

10/12/64 - Single bird.

14/01/65 - 1 or 2 often noted from this date, onwards.

1966 - Probably bred.

27/07/67 - Pair. Seen again on 31/08.

1968 - Probably bred.

26/10/69 - 2 birds.

10/09/70 - Single bird. Also on 24/09 & again on 08/10.

10/04/74 - Single bird.

04/03/76 - 2 birds.

No information between 1977 & 1992.

17/01/93 - 2 Birds.

24/09/94 - 2 Birds.

09/12/94 - Single bird.
