The Green Sandpiper was on the shore by Jim's field and difficult to spot without a telescope (which I didn't have today).
It's more contrasty than the Common Sandpipers which have been in 'Heron's Corner'. The Common Sandpipers match the mud colour very well and are also difficult to spot.

The water around the hide was very cloudy and mud coloured today (zero visibility for diving birds) and there was also a small amount of surface oil evident. Very few birds in "Heron's corner", no Herons or Cormorants on the west side of the hide.
